Breakfast in the garden... April

It's officially really warm here in Charleston! Here are some photos from this weekend breakfast in the garden... friends came, Gillian and Mark made a beautiful breakfast and we sat outside in the middle of the garden.

Details of a Vintage Closet

Yesterday afternoon, I stopped by my friend Natalia's house to see all of the outfits' that she's been telling me about lately. Natalia is known throughout town for her unique style and for having the most unique things in her closet. Her passion is finding these beautiful dresses and jewelry and setting them up on her Ebay shop.  I left with a really, really neat dress that I would have never picked out for myself. We scheduled a date to go downtown and I am looking forward to wearing it.
Before leaving... I caught these two best friends taking a nap together. Natalia told me that the are inseparable and look out for each other at all times.
Happy Monday:)

A French Shoe Shop

Congrats to the new shop owner, Ledansla! Her albert et henriette shoe shop is up and running...

Details from the bridal show.

Here are some photos that I snapped at the Charleston Weddings Spring bridal show.  My favorite part had to be all of the desserts by Sugar Bakeshop! The dresses were all beautiful!

Also, I am loving this photo shoot that took place at my favorite local coffee shop: Hope and Union!

After the show took place on opening night... I was left with the whole entire week to enjoy the other shows! Here are some street style photos from the week.

I didn't originally plan to take such a long break from updating this blog... things just got extremely busy with Charleston Fashion Week and now that it has come to a close, please allow me to give a brief summary about what went on here during the week leading up to it.

My mom came into town from Nashville, one week before the show to help with all of the last minute sewing(and it turned out to be a lot).  I kept telling myself... things are bound to go wrong when you have 15 outfits and 15 children to fit them onto. It was nice to have her here to make everything go really smooth and calm.

There were actually 17 models in the show... here, we have Maisy's doll... Can you tell that this fabric is my favorite? I also used it to make the shirt that my mom is wearing and gave it to her at Christmas. Here is a good close up of the models that may have been overlooked a little;)

This photo will explain why I added, 3 yr old Hudson to the show, just two days before while at his house to to fit his 3 siblings... This little guy really looks up to his older brother.
And here we are backstage on Tuesday night just a couple of hours before the show.
Gillian, entertaining Parker
Hudson, getting his makeup touched up while wearing his signature red sneakers.
Makenna... Thank You for putting up with this again! It turned out beautiful!

I have to thank this lady for having the great idea to begin Charleston Fashion Week and for making it such a huge success. Thanks to the team at Charleston Magazine and the wonderful hair and make-up crew organized by Ashley Brooke Perryman.
