Yesterday was a beautiful day and a perfect Birthday! I am lucky to have such great friends!! Here are some of the scenes from a beach walk:) You may notice Cloveleigh (in yellow) from her big day a few weeks ago and Lula from this photo.
here we go.
I'm happy to say that I am getting another chance to plan a children's runway show as a Featured Designer in Charleston Fashion Week 2011:) It has been almost one year since showing my Spring line and winning peoples choice, and it's an honor to be asked to come back. It does change things up a bit for me as I was thinking of a Spring line, but sometimes, you have to just go with it.... and I couldn't imagine saying no. I have to say that my favorite part of designing a runway show is choosing the shoes. These are my favorite. I will be posting some of the progress, here.
Thank you to all of you, who have been visiting my blog! I really appreciate it! For those who have a blog and have posted a comment... I have definitely visited yours ;) Have a great Thursday!
A Place to Hang Your Hat.
Imagining
NANDINOO... I've been going to their page every now and then just to get another look. I love these designs and the fabrics are from my favorite place
And....... EMERSONMADE... I've also been here a lot, imagining what pieces that I would like to wear on my trip to Bali.(just made that up) While I'm on the subject.. Its been kind of Springlike here in Charleston, so I've been opening my windows during the day and pretending that I live in Bali (where most houses don't have walls). I hope that your Tuesday is off to a good start.. you should go take a look and imagine where you'd wear your favorite outfits
Yellow daffodils from last week's walk + some shoes that I would love to wear, a chocolate tart that I would love to make(and eat), and just a pretty veiw and more Spring flowers that I came across on a pretty blog.
plus, Toast is having a really good sale...their catalogs are so pretty, I use them as a coffee table book.
All in a Day's Walk.
Yesterday, A project that I am working on... let me downtown with my camera. It's been a while since I've taken a walk and it seems like Spring is creeping up... that is, until I spoke with my mom in Nashville (where the snow is piling up) and she reminded me that we are in fact in the middle of Winter.
Began with a coffee break at Hope and Union with Gillian and Lianne. Veiw of the Palm tree outside.
I ran into Libby at H&U and I had to take a photo of her bright red jacket!
These next few photos were taken downtown during a 10 minute walk.
Now... back to work...
I found out about this store here, which is located in Missouri. Owned by sisters, one sells vintage clothing and the other has a bakery in the shop. My favorite part is their idea to put a MadMen spin on it.
A kind note and a piece of art.

Talkin' 'Bout The Things
They Woulda-Coulda-Shoulda Done...
But All Those Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas
All Ran Away And Hid
From One Little Did."
